Useful Tips

Reducing Server Lag:

  • Limit Entities: To minimize server lag, avoid creating large numbers of entities in the world. Extensive automation setups and improperly configured multiblock structures can contribute significantly to lag. We recommend using "Applied Energistics 2" for item storage and transportation to help reduce lag. If you're unsure about the potential impact of your setup, please consult with other players or staff for advice.
  • Monitor Performance: Periodically use the /observable command to check if any blocks, machines, or entities are using more ticks per second (us/t) than expected. This will help identify and address any potential sources of lag early.

Responsible Spawner Usage:

  • Manage Spawners: Only use spawners when necessary and do not leave them running continuously. You may use up to 3 maxed Apothesis spawners at a time. Ensure that spawned mobs are killed immediately and collect any dropped items right away. Spawner setups that allow mobs and items to linger will not be tolerated, as they can cause significant lag.

AE2 Storage Limits:

  • Item Storage Cap: To maintain server stability, each "Applied Energistics 2" (AE2) system is limited to storing a maximum of 150 million items. If you need additional storage, please use a separate system located away from your main base to avoid constant chunk loading. Following this rule helps ensure a smooth gaming experience for everyone.
